What people are saying about The Vocal Body?
I was masterfully led through what felt like a deeply mystical experience, where she helped unlock something special in each attendee’s voice. She guided us through breath-work, vocal warm-ups, harmonization, and then took us on a soulful sound healing journey all in one session. Every workshop was different, which made it all the more exciting, and her natural talent for teaching made the entire workshop an absolute treat. Sharmishta not only has a beautifully captivating voice and an uplifting presence, but her professional background in global music and opera singing is impressive.

We hosted Sharmishtha at the Red House for a month-long somatic voice engagement, and what a difference every participant felt by the end of it. I personally realised aspects I would not have otherwise, as relates to my vocal expression, and was carefully and most certainly alerted to worthy goals to look forward to in the near future, if only I kept working at them. I do highly recommend her not only as workshop facilitator, but a performer as well.

Sharmistha is the real deal! Her creative ways for exercising tone and breath are executed with deep wisdom and creativity and, of course, many years of training. The vocal warm-ups prepared us for the execution of our expression and her clear and gentle guidance provided patterns to sound and tone to, as well as the freedom to explore. I really enjoyed the moments of pause in between the exercises as she invited us to feel into the sensations occurring internally; recognizing the beauty and importance of the space that silence offers sound. This experience gave me an insight into harnessing the harmony of my voice that previously felt challenged by collective & ancestral silencing. Sharmishtha held the torch to show us whats possible through a powerful activation of life force (that’s still flowing through me) and now I feel motivated and inspired to do one on one sessions. Thank you dear Sistar🙏

Sharmishtha’s workshop was more than just a vocal session. it was a soulful journey into presence, vibration, and the subtle dance between breath and sound. her ability to hold space with clarity and grace is something truly special the exercises she guided us through were both playful and profound, gently unlocking layers of expression that had been dormant. what struck me most was her deep intuitive understanding of the voice not just as a musical instrument, but as a channel for truth and life force With such an extensive background in performance and coaching it’s honestly a blessing for anyone to be in a room with her and receive even a fraction of what she has to offer. To experience her presence and voice firsthand is a gift she leads from the heart and speaks straight to the soul. Grateful to have been there and look forward to attending more sessions 🙏🏼
